Rhode Island is small. Your gift list isn't.
Everyone in this state has a place. For some it's the Galilee docks at 7 a.m. For some it's a coffee milk at the kitchen table. For a lot of us it's Block Island, one ferry ride out and a world away.
This guide is for the people on your list who have a place like that. It's organized by who you're shopping for, not by what we happen to sell the most of. Every item here is from our shop, so yes, we're biased. We'll tell you what each thing is actually good for.
One thing up front. Everything we sell is made to order by our print partners. It isn't handmade and it isn't sitting on a shelf. That means order by Tuesday, December 8 for the best shot at Christmas delivery. We'll say that again at the bottom, because it matters.
For the one who misses the island
You know this person. They bring up "that week on the Block" at Thanksgiving. Every Thanksgiving.
The Southeast Light Engraving Hoodie – Block Island Est. 1661 is the one we'd pick. The art is an old-style engraving of the Southeast Lighthouse, the red-brick light on Mohegan Bluffs. In 1993 the whole building was moved about 300 feet back from the eroding cliff edge. Dedication like that deserves a hoodie.
It's a heavy, cozy pullover for porch mornings and the drive down Route 1. If they already own every Block Island sweatshirt ever made, the Off Season Crewneck is for the people who think the island is best after Columbus Day. They're right.

For the one with a sense of humor
Rhode Island humor is dry. It's mostly about traffic, weather and people from Massachusetts. Block Island humor is drier.
- Our Deer Don't Fly Sweatshirt. Block Island has a lot of deer. They don't fly. They don't need to. It's the anchor of the Block Island Christmas collection.
- Santa Takes the Ferry Tee. How else would he get there? A sleigh can't land on Mohegan Bluffs.
- No Traffic Lights Tee. Block Island has no traffic lights. It's the most-quoted fact about the island and it's true. Good for anyone who's ever sat on 95 at 5 p.m.
Stocking stuffers
Small, useful and hard to get wrong. Browse the full gifts collection for more.
- Southeast Light Mug. The same lighthouse engraving, on a mug. Coffee, coffee milk, chowder. We don't judge.
- 2026 Southeast Light Ornament. It's dated, so it becomes a yearly thing. Good for new homeowners, newlyweds, or anyone who got engaged on the island this summer.
- Est. 1661 Embroidered Dad Hat. 1661 is the year English settlers arrived on the island. It's stitched, not printed, so it survives a season of boat days.

For the beach person (in December)
Beach people don't stop being beach people in winter. They just plan.
The Beach Pass Canvas Tote works as a beach bag in July and a grocery bag in January. Pair it with a hat from the hats collection and you've covered next summer's packing list.
For the Rhode Islander who moved away
This is the hardest gift to buy and the most fun to get right. They moved to Charlotte, or Denver, or (gasp) Connecticut. They miss the ocean and they miss complaining about the Newport Bridge.
Send them something that says "you're still from here":
- A Block Island tee they'll wear to the gym so someone asks about it.
- The 2026 ornament, because they'll hang it every year.
- The Southeast Light mug for their desk. Instant conversation starter on video calls.
We ship anywhere in the US. Shipping is $5.95, free on orders $50 and up. We don't ship internationally yet, sorry to our friends abroad.
How to make sure it arrives by Christmas
Here's the honest version of holiday shipping from a made-to-order shop:
- You order.
- Our print partner makes it. That takes 2–7 business days, and December is on the long end.
- It ships with tracking.
- The carrier delivers it. In December, carriers are slower than usual. We can't control that part.
That's why our order-by date is Tuesday, December 8. After that we'll still make and ship your order, we just can't promise it'll be there by the 25th.
Other details:
- Returns: 30 days on unworn items.
- Free US shipping on orders of $50 or more.
Shop local, even online
We're a small Rhode Island business based in Narragansett. We design the art, pick the products and answer the emails ourselves. Our print partners handle the printing and shipping so we can keep prices fair and waste down, since nothing gets made until someone orders it.
If you're shopping in person this season, Rhode Island's holiday markets are worth a trip. Block Island's Holiday Stroll over Thanksgiving weekend and the Wickford Festival of Lights in early December are two of our favorites. Check the organizers' sites for this year's dates.

FAQ
When should I order for Christmas delivery? Order by Tuesday, December 8. Every item is made to order (2–7 business days) before shipping, and December carrier times are longer.
Do you ship outside the US? Not right now. We ship to US addresses only. Shipping is $5.95, and free on orders of $50 or more.
Are your products handmade? No. We design everything in Rhode Island, and our print partners print, embroider and ship each order on demand. We'd rather be clear about that.
Can I return a gift? Yes. Unworn items can be returned within 30 days. Email us and we'll walk you through it.
What's the best gift for someone who loves Block Island? The Southeast Light Hoodie for a big gift, the 2026 ornament or the Southeast Light mug for something smaller.
